EGLANTYNE TECHNICAL RIDER
Performer: Anne Chamberlain – anne.e.chamberlain@gmail.com
GENERAL INFORMATION:
EGLANTYNE is a 75 minute one woman show with no interval. The set is very simple with a rug and some pieces of furniture, all supplied by the company except for an on stage table with wooden legs to be provided by the venue. Pre and post show music is supplied on CD or memory stick. There are no sound cues during the show. There is a simple lighting design. An in house technician needs to plot and operate the show. A cue to cue lighting technical run takes place during the get in. The get in, plotting lights and lighting technical run will generally take 3 hours maximum. The get in can start anytime from 11am up until 2pm on the day of the performance.
CREW REQUIREMENTS:
This production does not tour with a technician. The theatre will need to provide a technician to help with the get in and a technician, who could be the same technician, to plot the lights, run a cue to cue lighting technical rehearsal and operate the show. A technician is needed to help with the get out.
RUNNING TIME:
75 minutes, no interval
STAGE FURNITURE AND PROPS:
A central rug measuring 2.5m (SL-SR) x 1.75m (US-DS)
Table, sits on the rug, approx 1.2m x 0.8m, needs wooden legs, table supplied by the venue
Table cloth, a green velvet table cloth to cover the table (i.e. the on stage desk)
Books and various things on the desk
A chair behind the desk
A hat rack US right of desk (not on rug)
A stool DS left of desk (not on rug)
The production can play in flexible spaces. The desired playing space is 7m x 5m, it can be played on larger stages. An absolute minimum would be 4m x 3m. In theatres, it’s ideal for the stage to have complete black masking.
LIGHTING REQUIREMENTS:
The show’s lighting is quite simple and can easily fit into or be adpated to most standard lighting rigs.
There are three main areas in a semi circle:
- Coat rack US, stage right
- Desk with desk chair on rug in centre
- Stool DS, stage left
All three areas need to be isolated at points throughout the piece, but make up a seamless stage wash.
There is one special/profile spot in open white for the 'Royal Albert Hall' – DS between desk and coat rack. All front light is a pale amber and backlit with amber and blue wash.
There are 36 LX cues – please Lighting Cue Sheet, copied below. A script marked up with lighting cues will be supplied by the company.
SOUND REQUIREMENTS:
There are no sound cues during the show. Pre and post show music which will be provided on a CD and memory stick.
DRESSING ROOM REQUIREMENTS:
One dressing room.
PARKING:
A parking space is required for the touring car which transports the performer, stage furniture, props and costumes.
